The system consists of a boundary wire connected to a radio transmitter and a receiver attached to the animal's collar. The length of the contour of the restricted area can be up to 1200m, and the area up to 8 hectares.

The area allowed for movement for the pet is separated by a boundary wire. In addition to the outer contour, beds, ornamental shrubs, pools or other areas prohibited for the animal located within the area can also be restricted.
The boundary wire is sunk a few centimeters into the ground or attached to an existing fence. The wire forms a closed contour and its ends are connected to a radio transmitter, which generates a low-power, low-frequency radio signal around the wire.

A tiny receiver attached to the collar reacts to the radio field surrounding the wire. When the animal approaches the edge of the permitted movement area (0.5...5m from the wire), the receiver starts to emit a beeping sound. The animal quickly learns to respond to this and returns to the permitted movement area.

If the animal nevertheless avoids the warning signal (usually a few times at the beginning of training), it receives a correction impulse from the collar. The impulse is unpleasant for the animal and it will try to avoid it in the future. Most animals learn to recognize their boundaries within a week.
