Why buy a scratching post or scratching board?

Scratching is not a bad habit, but a natural and instinctive need for cats. It helps keep claws healthy, strong and properly worn.
While scratching, cats remove old claw layers and stretch their muscles and back.

In addition to physical care, scratching helps cats relieve stress and mark their territory.
Cats have scent glands in their paws, and by scratching they leave their own scent behind, which provides a sense of security and helps make their environment feel familiar.

A scratching post or scratching board offers your cat a safe and suitable place to satisfy these natural instincts, redirecting scratching behavior away from furniture, carpets and wallpaper.
This helps protect your home interior and maintain harmony between cat and owner.

Regular scratching supports a cat’s mental balance and physical health and is especially important for indoor cats as well as young and active cats.
